Java Jive
First off – Thanks to all that were able to make it out on that stormy night in Tacoma.
The show was great and we all felt like we took it to the next level.
For those that didn’t know, Bob’s Java Jive is shaped like a gigantic coffee pot. Really!!
The whole place has an interesting design with quirky art with old wooden tables. Great staff and atmosphere.
Dishwasher Safe performed first and had a really interesting sound. I guess they had recently lost their drummer and i was amazed how they were able to put it together under those circumstances.
The stage we were performing on was so high that i had to remove the light bulbs above to make sure i didn’t smack into them. (images of the TALLMAN from twin peaks are dancing in my head).
The boys did great and we introduced two new songs into the set.
Fleeting Saturnine (an all out dark epic clash of sounds)in which the audience seemed to enjoy and
The King of Dreams (kinda like a roy orbison tune with a dark pop edge)had a great response as well and a few people mentioned it after the show.
I’m so pleased people liked them. More coming soon. :)
Civitia finished off the show with a bang. A very tight set with Pearl Jam/indie undertones.
If any pictures/video come out, i’ll post them here as well as our myspace page.
Next show is in January where we will be playing the Rendezvous and possibly returning to the Comet! (more info soon)
